Values, Vision, Goal, Objectives & Philosophy
Our Philosophy is built on a hard-won truth: a successful mine is not found — it is made, with a great deal of sweat and commitment. Mineralisation in the ground is only a beginning. Turning it into a safe, profitable, responsibly operated mine takes discipline, persistence, skill, and the willingness to do the difficult work that others avoid.
Because of this, we approach every client’s project as if it were our own. We carry the owner’s intent through every stage — to develop the project into a producing mine and to create genuine value for the people who own it. Our clients’ success is our success, and we measure ourselves by what we help them build.
One simple principle guides every decision we make: we do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. We are committed to mining responsibly and dependably, to honouring our relationships, and to leaving a positive legacy in every community and country in which we work.
Our Vision
To be the partner of choice for turning mineral prospects into producing mines in Africa — the exploration and mining contractor that clients trust to develop their projects as though they were our own, from greenfields discovery through to a profitable, responsibly operated mine, creating lasting value for the owners we serve.
Our Goal
To take every project entrusted to us from prospect to producing mine — delivering exploration, development, and mining work to the highest standard, safely, on time and on budget, and as cost-effectively as if every dollar were our own — so that we create real, lasting value for the project’s owners. We aim to be known not merely as a contractor who finds mineralisation, but as the partner who makes mines.
Our Core Values
These are the values of Regius Exploration & Mining. They are the foundation of how we work, how we treat one another and our clients, and how we make decisions every day. They are not negotiable.
- Ownership — We treat every client’s project as if it were our own — with the care, urgency, and commitment of an owner working to build a producing mine and create value for the people who own it.
- Honesty — We communicate openly and truthfully, with our clients, our colleagues, our partners, and the authorities and communities we work alongside.
- Integrity — We honour our commitments and hold ourselves accountable. We do what we say we will do, and we own the outcome.
- Teamwork — We achieve more together than apart. We combine international mining experience with deep local expertise, and we succeed as one team — with our clients and with each other.
- Respect — We treat every person with dignity — regardless of role, background, or position — and we respect the law, the land, and the cultures in which we operate.
- Value for all stakeholders — We work to create genuine, shared value for everyone with a stake in our success: our clients and their owners, our employees, host communities, partners, and government.
- A supporting culture — We build a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment in which every team member is enabled to contribute, to grow, and to do their best work.
Strategic Objectives
To deliver on our goal and realise our vision, we are focused on the following objectives:
- Treat and manage each client’s project as our own — advancing it through the full value chain, from tendering and acquisition, through conceptual work, exploration, and resource definition, to development and into production.
- Apply our deep Mozambican and African market knowledge and long-standing in-country relationships, built since 2004, to de-risk projects and move them forward where others stall.
- Deliver all work safely, with a zero-harm culture, and to programme and budget — protecting both our people and our clients’ capital.
- Convert ground into value: turning prospects into bankable, JORC- and NI 43-101-compliant resources, and resources into producing operations for the owners we serve.
- Maintain a skilled, multi-disciplinary team across project tendering, geology, exploration, mining operations, and project development from conceptual stages to operations.
- Build and maintain dependable, transparent, and responsible relationships with governments, regulators, local authorities, and host communities.
- Uphold the highest environmental, social, and governance standards across every project, prioritising local employment, skills transfer, and responsible stewardship of land and water.
- Operate efficiently and cost-effectively in everything we do, so that the value we create for our clients is real, measurable, and lasting.
